Meet Mrs. L, a true warrior and inspiration. Originally from West Virginia, she moved here four years ago for her husband’s work, only to face a life-altering divorce after 25 years of marriage. But Mrs. L didn’t let that stop her. She worked full-time, put herself through school, and became a medical assistant. For the past two years, she’s been with the same company, making a difference in the lives of others.
Her journey hasn’t been easy—she’s faced a kidney and pancreas transplant, battled skin cancer, and most recently, survived a stroke. Despite all this, Mrs. L stands tall, proud of the body that has carried her through these challenges. She told me, “I don’t have a perfect body, I have scars, hernia, etc. But I want to do this for me. Because I’m proud of my body now. It has made me who I am today.”
After the Session:
Today, Mrs. L showed us what true beauty and strength look like. She came into her session with the courage to embrace every scar, every mark, and every story her body tells. This woman has faced more battles than many of us can imagine, and she’s come out on the other side stronger and more radiant.
Mrs. L, thank you for trusting me with your journey and for allowing your light to shine through. You are a testament to the power of resilience, and your strength is absolutely beautiful. Here’s to celebrating every part of you—because you deserve it
